A CALL FROM THE HOLY ONE

The clouds above, against the shimmering sun
An spectacle of a call from the Holy One
Pulsating with life the edges of the cloud
Telling me to say yes to God right aloud

Having drifted aimlessly waning in faith
God is calling me back before it is too late
The rays of the sun piercing my heart
Giving me sweet pain like Cupid's dart

Telling me to fall in love with the Lord again
To all my endeavors let Him be sovereign

WHAT WILL YOU SAY TO THE LORD

When in heaven's gate you meet the Lord
And He asks you "Did you follow my word?"
What will you say to him for you to get in
Will you say to God that you don't have a sin

You may not have a sin of commission
But tell me you may have sins of omission
Did you turn deaf ear when someone needed you
Did you fail to love your enemies too?

You may think those sins are small
To purgatory you stay for purification from it all
Until God calls you to heaven
A promise to you he has not broken

The promise of tomorrow warms my heart
For the rising of the sun brings a new start

As you submit yourself to God's embrace

Drunk with all the attention I had

Where have all my lovers gone

SIXTY-SEVEN YEARS

Sixty-seven years of ups and downs
Floating around with the clowns
Trying to hide all the frowns
In pompous evening gowns

Did I make a difference to the world?
That sometimes seem indifferent and cold
Have I been too selfish and bold
Snatching all the attention I can hold

Was I generous in loving
Have I been kind and giving
Now in my twilight years and grieving
Paying for the wrongs of my own making

LORD STAY ALWAYS IN MY HEART

Lord, stay always in my heart

That you will give me the strength within
When poverty and loneliness sets in

I will choose poverty to an unchaste life
For you will unburden me through any strife
