AS YOU HAVE PREACHED

Father, what you have preached I tried to do
Not to let myself the dictates of my heart pursue
Though I did not shed a tear when you died
Now with my heart long forgotten, how I cried

To pamper my heart with "useless" emotions
That I have avoided without my own reasons
In gratitude to a co-maker of God
I tried to follow you through good or bad

Now, I am not asking for a furlough
But for a little understanding of my sorrow....

Profess your faith through good works you give

Have you asked Christ to live in your heart
That all anger and malice may depart

But accepting the salvation He offered when He came

The morning sky greeting me with love

Framing the clouds with silver lining
To a call from God, my soul surrendering

As it would do for all human race
