Writing Poems for a Contest
I just finished two love poems for a Valentine poetry writing contest in the internet. One poem is a love poem which should be less than 15 words. It did not get good reviews from the very new members because I did not write an author's notes which should have explained that it is supposed to be short. The other contest calls for a poem where the first letter of every line should spell out a word. I chose to write for the word "DARLING" because that is what my husband and I call each other. It got better reviews. In fact, one reviewer even asked me to write a poem for his girlfriend. I am flattered.

Carmen, I've noticed that a lot of the writers on fanstory don't let anyone who is on fanstory as just a reviewer rate their poems. That might be what some of the problem is. I think some of the very new people tend to be more critical. I thought you did very well. That would be flattering to have someone want you to write a poem.
ReplyDeleteI think you can squelch them out but it is a little irresponsible if they are not helped. Then, it is a matter of choosing the lesser evil. Thank you for your nice review you gave me at fanstory. It is very flattering and the corrections are helpful.
