If all these speculations are true
These disastrous typhoons are not by you
Why did you let evil men these to do
Oh God, where were you
If thousands did die in this disaster
And more lost their livelihood and shelter
That you caused it is easier to accept
Than think to these men's wiles we were left
But then you are God all-powerful
Above these men you will rule
One act of justice from you
Will wipe away them too
Whatever the cause, these you have planned
to strengthen our faith in your guiding hand
Oh God, to the question, where were you
