Then suddenly love came
After playing a guessing game
Asking "Does he love me, does he not"
He loves me was the answer I got

I asked a flower by picking it's petals
I asked the stars perched on the sky's pedestals
I asked the moon giving light in the dark
The answer was yes, as a song from the lark

He cares for me can it really be?
Oh destiny, can you bring him to me?

PRETENDING TO BE IN LOVE

Pretending to be in love
Is all the relief I can have
Freeing me from desolation
Intoxicating myself with poetry's potion

Pretending to be in love
Coming at peace like a dove
When love really comes
Can I recognize it without qualms?

WHEN NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE

When no one seems to care
Then suddenly you are there
Offering your love for me
Making me so very happy

Let everyone desert me
All I care for is your company
Come let's have a life together
Let us start the day to forever

WHEN FROM LONELINESS I AM FREE

When from loneliness I am free
Can I then claim a right to love thee
Coming to terms with my grief
From loneliness in your arms find relief

When from loneliness I am free
Then I can say you're not just a crutch for me
But someone I truly love with my heart
And with whom I can make a brand new start

I ask as I sing in plea
A song meant for thee
A song with a lonely melody

To my future you hold the key
From loneliness do set me free

MAKE ME A VESSEL OF HOPE

Make me a vessel of hope Oh Lord
Leading the hopeless on your arc to board
An arc of peace and quiet happiness
Through your presence everyone you bless

A vessel that will protect them from sorrow
From unbearable pain grant them forlough
Lord as I come to you to bless me wirh this task
As a recompense, guidance and strength I ask

Shall I let you into my life again
When all you bring my heart is but pain
The wounds you have caused have not healed
The sorrows I still feel though concealed
