MOTHER NEVER TOLD ME

Mother never told me
That life won't be that easy
She hid things for me to see
For she was always in glee

I thought life was a fairy tale
That was never touched by gale
But when she and Father was gone
Then my heartaches began

But they taught me about God
The best treasure I ever had
Guiding me through life
As I go through any strife

If my poem reaches them in Heaven
Then, to all they taught me I say "Amen"
